GPLTop is a website that provides a lot of premium products (software) necessary for the development of websites, including WordPress themes and plugins, PHP scripts, JavaScript, HTML templates etc. at a lower cost than that of the developers.

Before you install a product on the website, make sure that your hosting meets the following minimum requirements:

  • MySQL version 5.7+ or MariaDB version 10.1+

No. If you require technical support regarding a plugin or theme then you will need to either purchase the product directly from the author (a link is provided) or you will need to hire a freelancer to take a look for you. Alternatively, you could ask around some of the helpful WordPress community forums.

Are These Genuine Products?

GPLTop provide technical support?

Basically Not. But We provide basic support for installing plugins and themes. If you require technical support regarding a theme or plugin then you will need to either purchase the product directly from the author or you will need to hire a freelancer to take a look for you. Alternatively, you could ask us for paid help.

An item I downloaded is asking for a license activation code or to Upgrade to Premium. What to do?

Ignore it. Developers include these so that the plugin or theme can update automatically or so that you can register for support. The item itself will work perfectly fine without anything being entered in the box. We would recommend updating your theme/plugins manually when updates become available on our site.

Do GPLTop Provide License Keys?

We can’t and won’t provide/lease/release/resell license keys. All the products offered on this website are licensed under the GNU GPL License. You do not need any license keys to use them in as many of the projects you need. These plugins and themes only require license keys to get automatic updates or support from their authors.

How long does it take to get an updated version of the product?

You can request an update on any purchased product. We guarantee to update it within 48 hours after the receipt of your request.

How do I upgrade a plugin?

First, install and activate this plugin – Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades,
then follow the below steps:

Download the latest zip file for your plugin.
Log into your WordPress site.
Go to Plugins > Add New.
Click the “Upload Plugin” button at the top of the page.
Select the zip file with the new plugin version to install.
Click the “Install Now” button.

How do I upgrade a theme?

First, install and activate this plugin – Easy Theme and Plugin Upgrades,
then follow the below steps:

Download the latest zip file for your theme.
Log into your WordPress site.
Go to Appearance > Themes.
Click the “Add New” button at the top of the page.
Click the “Upload Theme” button at the top of the page.
Select the zip file with the new theme version to install.
Click the “Install Now” button.

How to fix “style.css missing” error while uploading themes?

A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a “Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This is because the theme download package on ThemeForest includes additional files to the theme such as the documentation, license etc.

To solve this simply unzip the theme package you downloaded from GPLTop and upload the themename.zip file which is included (with the file being the name of the theme).

How do I contact you to report a trademark/copyright violation?

Because all items are GPL-licensed it’s extremely unlikely there is one. Also, we only use the names of products nominatively as a way of identifying one item from another and clearly emphasize on our website that no items on this site are endorsed or sponsored by any trademark holder.
